Christopher Joseph, better known by his wrestling name Chris Cryptic, started the backyard wrestling organisation called In Your House Wrestling Federation in April 2005, and it started as little more than a bunch of mates building a ring in Chris’s backyard and training to wrestle, before putting on shows for their friends and family. Their high quality of wrestling and personalities on their shows quickly gained attention from other federations in the region, as well as local sponsors, and after a few years of slowly building their show quality and getting more eyes on them, they were able to set up a permanent location in a Warehouse in the Industrial district of Melbourne, simply dubbed “The Warehouse.”
For six months IYHWF was taped and streamed to Youtube, the platform drawing bigger local crowds as well as implementing merchandise. It was announced on the final Ruckus before Dawn of The Immortals that the Supershow would be the last broadcast from “The Warehouse”, as a deal was struck with a streaming company to broadcast tapings of their shows worldwide, and therefore moving to a bigger venue: The Melbourne Showgrounds.
With a new venue locked in, and an international fanbase, IYHWF now opens its doors to any wrestling talent from around the globe that wants to come down under and show what they can do.
